Praline and chocolate classes at the chocolate factory bitter süss


It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the world of chocolate and praline production. More than 20 years ago, I experienced myself what it means to approach this art - I started as an amateur chocolatier and know the at times frustrating experiences and results. My classes are straightforward, relaxed, and very practice-oriented – I am happy to pass my knowledge on to you. Chocolate-making is an art, but there are simple and helpful tools to learn this craft. These will open the doors for creativity and experimentation. And the fun can begin!
Please note: my chocolates love it when it is cool, my studio is therefore air-conditioned and not heated in the winter. To be on the safe side, please bring a jacket/vest to the class.

You are welcome to purchase or order the used chocolates as well as the hollow forms and tools in my studio. That way, you can achieve the same seductive and delicious results at home.


Praline class 1 – Introductory course on the world of pralines
In this class, you will gain insight into the art of manual praline production. First, we will discuss the individual recipes and working steps. Then we will start with the production of pralines.
Together, we will produce your individual delicious pralines and truffles. Afterwards, you can take the sweet temptations home. You will receive instructional materials, drinks, and aprons – you only need to bring a good mood and a sealable dish for the pralines.
With a little practice, all the recipes can be made on your own at home.

Minimum of 8 participants, maximum of 12 participants
Duration: about 4 hours

Praline class 2 - Pralines & truffles for advanced students
In my advanced chocolates class 2, we dedicate ourselves to the high art of covering (tempering) self-made pralines and truffles and to the production of our own moulded pralines with a delicate, tempered chocolate coating. First, we will discuss the individual recipes and working steps, then we start with the production of moulded pralines.
This class is aimed at all those who have already gained experience with the production of pralines or have taken my first class and would like to further immerse themselves in the world of praline production.
You will receive instructional materials, drinks, and aprons – you only need to bring a good mood and a sealable dish for the pralines.

Chocolate tasting and tempering class
In this class, I will introduce you to the world of cocoa and chocolate. You will learn interesting background information about the cocoa bean, taste chocolates ranging from industrial to first-class Grand Cru from various regions of the world, and can thereby acquaint your pallet with different tastes. Then, we dedicate ourselves to the professional tempering of chocolate coating. You will learn the different methods in theory and practice. Afterwards, you will mould your own thin chocolates with perfectly tempered chocolate, which you can decorate and intensify to your fancy with nuts, fruits, blossoms, and many other treats.
You will receive instructional materials, drinks, and aprons – you only need to bring a good mood and a sealable dish for your chocolates.

This sweet creation lets women’s hearts beat faster! Dreams come true here. Mould your own high heels from chocolate, paint and decorate them the way you always pictured your dream shoe. From the best French chocolate, with professional instructions, and almost in full size – every shoe lover’s heart will melt! You will receive drinks and aprons – you only need to bring a good mood. I will provide nice packaging to transport your high heels.

Chocolate splashing – Chocolate class for kids
Diving into the world of chocolate for an afternoon lets children’s dreams come true! In a pleasurable atmosphere, the children will paint and mould their own chocolate lollipops or colourfully decorate their own thin chocolates with fruits, nuts, blossoms, seeds, and other treats. This class is specifically designed for children and playfully conveys knowledge about the most beautiful sweet in the world. Parents are welcome to join and accompany their child.
Every child can wrap up the lollipop and chocolate they made and take it home.

General
Registration is binding, and classes must be paid for in advance. Cancellations can be made up to two weeks before the class. The cancellation fee is 25%. Unfortunately, we cannot accept later cancellations; however, you are welcome to transfer the spot in the class to another person or switch to a course at a different date.
Registrations can be made up to two weeks before the class. You will receive a notification one week before the class if the minimum number of participants has not been reached and the class cannot take place. In this case, you will receive alternative dates or will be reimbursed.
The classes are aimed at amateur chocolatiers and chocolate lovers. Please understand that we cannot agree to the commercial use of our designs, fonts, and instructional materials.
